Jun Hyun-moo reveals humble rookie room despite 6 billion won lifestyle

The past living space of broadcaster Jun Hyun-moo, who resides in an apartment worth 6 billion won, has been revealed. Unlike the glamorous present of the star, the room he used during his days as a rookie announcer drew attention as it remained preserved as if time had stood still.

It was a scene that prompted a comparison between Jun's humble past and his current success.

In the 368th episode of the KBS 2TV variety program 'Boss in the Mirror' aired on August 2, archival footage showing Jun's days as a KBS announcer was revealed.

In this episode, the room in his family home where Jun lived while working as a rookie KBS announcer appeared.

Upon seeing the room in the archival footage, Kim Sook could not hide her surprise, asking, "Is this really a room?" The space revealed through the broadcast contained traces of Jun's past, such as the computer and desk he used at the time and photos from his childhood.

To this, Jun revealed, "That room still exists even now. It's my family home. My mother hasn't changed my room, so it's almost exactly the same."

Unlike his current image as a representative MC of the Republic of Korea who hosts numerous variety programs, the revealed room held traces of the time he spent preparing for announcer exams and studying broadcast scripts.

In particular, the desktop computer and materials Jun used at the time were preserved as they were, bringing to mind the intense days of his rookie years.

The sight of a young Jun in the archival footage also became a hot topic.

When Kim Sook joked, "You're a rookie, so why do you look so old?", Jun replied, "I was around thirty," and then drew laughter by adding, "There is too much footage of me at KBS that needs to be erased."

Seeing this, Kim Sook offered witty advice regarding Jun's past broadcast materials, saying, "You have to earn a lot of money. You have to buy all of those."

Jun is currently one of the highest-earning broadcasters in the industry, establishing an unrivaled position by hosting various variety programs.

The apartment he resides in in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, also drew attention as it was known to have been traded for approximately 6.1 billion won last year.

However, the old room in his family home revealed this day showed the time of a young man running toward his dreams rather than the present of the successful star Jun.

What drew more attention than the glamorous house and high income were the traces of effort remaining in the unchanged space. It remained a meaningful scene in that the time spent preparing for the future in a small room before becoming a 'National MC' created the Jun Hyun-moo of today.
