Kangnam reveals Lee Sang Hwa's Japanese skills: 'She can't speak a word'

“Even though she goes to Japan so often, she can't speak a word of Japanese.”

Kangnam brought laughter by candidly revealing his wife Lee Sang Hwa's Japanese language skills. The reason, he explained, was simply because "her husband does everything for her."

On the 24th, a video was released on the YouTube channel Neighborhood Friend Kangnami, featuring a conversation about the members of Illit and Japanese variety shows. When Wonhee, a member of Illit who has frequent activities in Japan, mentioned struggling with the language, Kangnam shared his own experience.

“You shouldn't have a friend next to you who speaks Korean well,” Kangnam said, suddenly bringing up Lee Sang Hwa. He continued, “There is someone close to me named Lee Sang Hwa. Even though she goes to Japan so often, she can't speak any Japanese at all. It's because I do everything for her,” which caused a burst of laughter on set.

Kangnam then advised Wonhee, saying, “You shouldn't do everything for them.” His point was that while it might be convenient if Japanese members handle everything for you, you actually lose the opportunity to use the language yourself.

Kangnam's revelation regarding his wife's Japanese skills highlighted the playful back-and-forth banter between the couple. Kangnam and Lee Sang Hwa married in 2019 and have been sharing their honest daily life through broadcasts and SNS to this day.
