Kim Ji-yoo's Hwasa parody turns into 'Yung-deu-ok-jeong'—Yoo Jae Suk agrees
Comedian Kim Ji-yoo left the 'Running Man' cast in stitches after revealing her unexpected doppelgängers, including a Hwasa parody that viewers compared to Haha's mother.
Comedian Kim Ji-yoo left the members of 'Running Man' in stitches after revealing an unexpected lineup of her doppelgängers. She drew laughs by sharing how her attempt to parody Hwasa instead led to comparisons with Haha's mother, Ms. Kim Ok-jeong, also known as 'Yung-deu-ok-jeong.'

In the SBS variety program 'Running Man' broadcast on the 9th, entertainer Hong Jin-Ho and comedian Kim Ji-yoo appeared as guests. The members shared various stories while traveling by vehicle for the 'Let's All Spin Around Jongno-gu' race.
During the transit, Yoo Jae Suk asked Kim, "Ji-yoo, what is your nickname?"
After thinking for a moment, Kim revealed her unique lineage of look-alikes.
"First of all, I hear that I look like senior Im Woo-il, senior Noh Sa-yeon, and Haha's mother," she said.
As these unexpected names were mentioned, the members examined Kim's face closely. They then all nodded in unison, agreeing, "You do look like them."
The anecdote regarding her Hwasa parody, in particular, drew significant laughter.
Kim recalled the time she parodied singer Hwasa alongside comedian Lee Chang-ho. Although she attempted to recreate Hwasa's style and atmosphere, the look-alike that viewers actually identified was someone entirely unexpected.
Kim revealed, "I parodied Hwasa with Chang-ho, but the top comment was, 'Why is this Hwasa? It's Yung-deu-ok-jeong.'"
The unexpected twist—that her attempt to mimic Hwasa resulted in 'Yung-deu-ok-jeong' instead—turned the set into a sea of laughter.
'Yung-deu-ok-jeong' is a nickname for Haha's mother, Ms. Kim Ok-jeong. As she is a beloved figure on variety shows due to her unique way of speaking and charismatic character, Kim accepted the comparison playfully.
The members looked at Kim's face once more and agreed, "You really do look like her." Yoo Jae Suk also stared at Kim for a moment before adding to the laughter by admitting, "It's there, it's there. You really do look like her."
Ultimately, Kim's doppelgängers extended beyond just one or two comparisons to include Im Woo-il, Noh Sa-yeon, and Kim Ok-jeong. Her lineage of look-alikes became even more unique given that her Hwasa parody resulted in 'Yung-deu-ok-jeong.'
While the core of a parody lies in how accurately one recreates the subject, a strangely different result followed for Kim. She tried to express Hwasa, but what viewers discovered was the face of Kim Ok-jeong. It seems that 'looking like someone' is sometimes achieved in a place entirely unexpected rather than where intended.
On this day, Kim added new laughter to 'Running Man' with her characteristic witty banter and her unique doppelgänger stories.
