Yoo Jae-suk Addresses Lee Kyung-kyu's Health Rumors on MBC 'Hangout with Yoo'
MC Yoo Jae-suk discusses recent health concerns regarding Lee Kyung-kyu, who clarifies his condition is fine despite rumors of fatigue.
On the 13th, during the MBC entertainment program 'Hangout with Yoo?', Lee Kyung-kyu stated that there are no issues regarding the recently surfaced rumors about his health.
Lee Kyung-kyu appeared alongside his eternal 'bodyguard' Lee Yoon-seok. MC Yoo Jae-suk welcomed Lee Kyung-kyu warmly before cautiously bringing up the recent health concerns raised among netizens.
Yoo Jae-suk asked, "Recently, you have been filming golf content with Yong-man hyung quite often. I watch it frequently too, and I saw a comment saying, 'There is a problem with his health.'" Some netizens had raised questions about whether there was a red light on his health, noting that Lee Kyung-kyu appeared to have somewhat slurred speech and a poor complexion in YouTube content and other media.
At the time, his agency stated, "It is merely a temporary decline in condition due to long filming hours," but the suspicions did not easily subside.
Lee Kyung-kyu responded firmly with a shouting voice, saying, "There is no problem at all. I am perfectly fine." Yoo Jae-suk agreed with Lee Kyung-kyu's outburst, noting, "You look like you have very good face and condition today."
Yoo Jae-suk pointed out Lee Kyung-kyu's habit of keeping his hands in his pants pockets, to which Lee Kyung-kyu remained unfazed, replying, "It is the American style." Lee Yoon-seok wittily defended him, saying, "He doesn't mention it, but lately, his fingertips feel numb and cold. That is why he keeps his hands in his pockets. His health isn't bad, but it is true that his stamina has dropped a bit compared to when he was in his prime."
Lee Kyung-kyu acknowledged his aging, saying, "Life consists of birth, aging, sickness, and death, so it wouldn't be right if it became just birth, sickness, and death, would it?" He also jokingly teased Lee Yoon-seok, adding, "When I leave this world, even if Yoon-seok is healthy, I will take him with me."
Lee Kyung-kyu is currently staying in Mexico to cheer for the South Korean national team participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup North America.
