Lee Hyori on JTBC's 'Love War': 'I've been out of the dating game so long, I find myself immersed in the stories'
Singer Lee Hyori shares her thoughts as an MC for JTBC's new dating reality show 'Love War,' noting how she relates to the struggling couples.
Singer Lee Hyori shared her thoughts as an MC during the online production presentation for the JTBC dating reality program 'Love War' held on the 23rd.

Lee Hyori is in a very stable marriage, celebrating 13 years of marriage with Lee Sang Soon. When asked if she faced any difficulties understanding couples on the verge of breaking up, she wittily replied, "Since I have had various dating experiences, I don't think I need to worry about those difficulties. Although I stopped dating after getting married, my past experiences mean I don't have those concerns. However, because I have been away from dating for so long, I find myself watching the program and thinking, 'Ah, so that's the problem these days. That's why they are suffering.' So, as a viewer, I am enjoying the recording process as a key observation point."
She showed a very serious attitude toward the program, stating, "I had doubts about the participants. Why are they appearing on a broadcast? Are they appearing because they want to be famous? I had my own prejudices, but after coming to record in person, I realized the participants are coming with real concerns. They truly want to hear our solutions and want to see themselves objectively. In fact, there are even couples who have broken up on set. Since I tend to dislike anything fake, I am enjoying the recording thinking, 'This is real.'"
She then asked for interest, saying, "There was a part of me that felt regretful because I couldn't experience dating, but I am getting vicarious satisfaction while watching the program. I hope many married people watch it as well."
'Love War,' which premieres today, is a dating reality program where self-proclaimed dating experts Lee Hyori, Seo Jang Hoon, and Kim Hee Chul meet couples on the brink of breakup to negotiate and settle their issues on their behalf.
