Seo Hyun-jin Expresses Frustration Over Mother's Loud Math Tutoring in Public Cafe
Broadcaster Seo Hyun-jin shares her experience of being disturbed by a mother shouting math lessons to her child in a public cafe.
On the 17th, broadcaster Seo Hyun-jin, a former announcer, shared her recent whereabouts via her social media account, noting a visit to a franchise cafe.

She expressed her distress, stating, "I am suffering because of a mother in a corner who has been shouting while teaching math to a 6 or 7-year-old child for 30 minutes." She reported being subjected to noise pollution due to excessive discipline that shows no consideration for others in a public space.
Seo Hyun-jin transcribed part of the verbal abuse from the mother, who was causing a nuisance by disciplining the child without regard for those around her, saying: "Do you understand what I'm saying? Do you not know? Stop it! Sit up straight. Solve this! Ddaeng-ddaeng-ah!! Think before you answer."
She added, "Since I am a 'Supoja' (someone who has given up on math), I don't know the answers even when my child asks, nor can I help with homework. I just feel this is better. 'Excuse me, please stop the hysteria,' I warned."
After being crowned Miss Korea in 2001, Seo Hyun-jin joined Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation as a 32nd-term announcer in 2004. After leaving MBC in 2014, she transitioned to a freelance career. In 2017, she married a doctor five years her senior and gave birth to a son in 2019.
