Comedian Shim Hyun-seop 'taught a lesson' by wife with showerhead

Comedian Shim Hyun-seop brought laughter to viewers by revealing an anecdote where he received a so-called 'true education' from his wife after marriage. The story highlighted a unique marital clash where his wife's desire to fix his habit of going to bed without washing up eventually led to an encounter with a showerhead.

In the episode of MBN's 'Dongchimi' broadcast on the 22nd, stories were teased under the theme 'You Need a True Education.' In the preview released at the end of the broadcast, the cast members shared honest confessions regarding lifestyle habits and the struggle for dominance between spouses.

First, former basketball player Hur Jae admitted to his past dependence on his wife in domestic life, stating, "I didn't know laundry was that difficult. Even the marriage registration was done by my wife alone."

Announcer Kim Hyeon-uk also piqued curiosity by confessing, "I was thinking I had to win the battle for dominance, but I am a case where I was completely taught a lesson."

Shim shared an even more shocking marital anecdote. He mentioned his daily habits, saying his wife once told him, "I have just one wish. Please just wash up once before you go to bed."

He continued, "When I do my business, I take everything off. Taking advantage of that moment, my wife sprays me with water from the showerhead to tell me to wash up," which sent the cast into fits of laughter. Upon hearing this, comedian Shim Jin-hwa reacted with disgust, saying, "I would hate it even more if someone walked in while I was doing my business," creating another moment of laughter.

The broadcast also featured scenes showing how much husbands' 'self-evaluations' regarding housework differed from the actual evaluations of their spouses.

Former tennis player Lee Hyung-taik evaluated himself as "relatively smart for an athlete" and confidently claimed, "Cleaning, laundry... I basically do it all on my own." Although Kim pointed out, "Isn't that a dangerous statement?", Lee continued to insist that he is good at housework.

Kim Yong-man then attempted to call Lee's wife to verify her opinion. His wife immediately overturned her husband's self-evaluation by replying, "He does do it, but it's among the top ten times a year."

Hur also appeared on screen attempting to get his resident registration card reissued during his first-ever visit to a community center. Having arrived without a portrait photo, Hur looked flustered, asking, "I don't have one. Can't I just bring the photo later?"
