Son Min-su struggles during overseas travel rehearsal with twins

Comedian Son Min-su set out to practice for an upcoming overseas trip with his twin children, Kang-i and Dan-i. From taking passport photos to navigating airport procedures, boarding a plane, enjoying in-flight meals, and eating hotel breakfasts, he recreated the exact itinerary of a real trip. However, the most exhausted traveler was not the children, but the father, Son.

In the episode of KBS 2TV's 'The Return of Superman' aired on the 12th, Son was shown entering a 'real-life simulation' ahead of his upcoming overseas trip with the Kang twins.

The practice session was remarkably thorough. Son began by taking passport photos for the children, then moved to the airport to experience check-in, baggage inspection, and boarding in the exact order of an actual international trip.

The atmosphere inside the cabin was equally realistic. While Son fed formula to the older brother, Kang-i, Dan-i held her own bottle and performed 'self-feeding.' Meanwhile, Kang-i, having filled his belly, drew laughter by sleeping calmly while wearing headphones.

During mealtime, they ordered menus just like a real flight and even prepared baby food for the children. After tasting apple puree, Dan-i made a unique face by furrowing her brow, prompting MC Ralral to add to the laughter by noting, "She looks exactly like her mother."

After the flight rehearsal ended, they moved to a hotel to experience a one-night stay. During the hotel breakfast the next morning, Son was frantically moving from the start to tend to the two children's meals.

He lamented, "When you come to a place like a hotel, you should be able to relax, but there is no relaxation."

Although he sought out a hotel to experience the romance of overseas travel in advance, the moment he had to care for both children simultaneously, the hotel breakfast became another childcare site rather than a place of rest.

An unexpected accident also occurred. While Son was feeding Kang-i, Dan-i reached for food and knocked a plate, causing it to fall and break on the floor. Despite being flustered, Son turned the situation into a joke, saying, "Since this broke, Dan-i has to go hungry."

However, the true highlight was the father's meal.

Even at a hotel buffet filled with delicacies, Son's own meal was constantly pushed back as he tended to the children. Whenever he found a moment, he hurriedly stuffed food into his mouth, eventually coughing repeatedly after choking on his food.

Unlike the children who were enjoying the trip, for the father, 'overseas childcare' had begun before 'overseas travel.'

Nevertheless, rather than showing signs of exhaustion, Son expressed anticipation for the real trip he will take with the children. He teased the upcoming journey, saying, "Since we practiced this much, please Expect the Kang twins' first overseas trip."

Watching this, Ralral marveled, "The fact that he is doing this rehearsal makes him seem like such a wonderful father. Isn't he doing this all for the children?"

Son, who married Im Ra-ra in 2023, welcomed twin siblings last October. Now, with the children's first overseas trip approaching, this rehearsal was less of a simple broadcast event and more like a father's intensive training to prepare for the unpredictable variables of their first trip together.

The most important item for an overseas trip with twins might not be a passport or a suitcase, but the father's physical stamina.
