Yoon Shi-yoon Reveals Han River Outing with Shin Se Kyung: "I Wanted to Brag About My New Car"

Actor Yoon Shi-yoon drew attention by revealing the hidden story behind a Han River outing he once had with Shin Se Kyung.

On episode 970 of the MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star' broadcast on the 1st, actors Ryu Soo Young, Choi Jin Hyuk, and Yoon Shi-yoon, along with singer Sandeul, appeared to share various stories.

During the show, Yoon Shi-yoon reminisced about his time filming the MBC sitcom 'High Kick! Through the Roof,' one of his representative works. Recalling when he first heard the news of passing the audition, he said, "I lay on the floor and cried with my mother. I was so grateful and couldn't believe it."

As a rookie at the time with little acting experience, Yoon Shi-yoon confessed that he was always nervous on set. He revealed, "I didn't even know how to read a script, and I was very intimidated among the adult actors. Instead, I would wait for the young Jin Ji-hee and Seo Shin-ae to arrive so I could ask them things I didn't know."

He continued, "When I asked, 'What is a bust shot?', Ji-hee would explain, 'This is this kind of camera,'" recalling how he received much help from his younger juniors.

He also expressed gratitude toward Choi Daniel, who appeared on the show with him. Yoon Shi-yoon said, "He took such good care of people. It was cool how he would be the first to say, 'Let's go eat' or 'Do you want some coffee?' I thought to myself that I should be like that later on."

When the MCs later asked if he was also around the same age as Shin Se Kyung, Yoon Shi-yoon explained the atmosphere at the time, saying, "Back then, she was a great senior to me and a truly hot icon," making it difficult to approach her easily.

In particular, Yoon Shi-yoon revealed an anecdote involving a Han River outing with Shin Se Kyung. He stated, "Since my house was a bit far back then, I bought a car and really wanted to brag about it. Since the only people I could talk to were the friends appearing in the show with me, I said, 'I'll come pick you up. Let's go to the Han River.'"

He continued, "I went to pick up Jin Ji-hee, but she had secretly invited Se Kyung. Shin Se Kyung was standing right in front of the car," recounting the embarrassing moment. "At that time, we weren't even close enough to speak informally with Se Kyung-ssi."

Ultimately, Yoon Shi-yoon headed to the Han River with Shin Se Kyung, Jin Ji-hee, and Seo Shin-ae, where they had a great time eating fried chicken.

Recalling his time with senior actors including the late Lee Soon-jae, Yoon Shi-yoon said, "People say I acted well, but at the time, the seniors taught me a lot." He expressed his gratitude, stating that thanks to the help of young actors and colleagues, they were able to create the special work 'High Kick! Through the Roof.'
