Actress Baek Jin-hee revealed a painful memory from her college days on YouTube that served as the decisive reason for her quitting alcohol.

Baek Jin-hee traveled to Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, to meet her college classmates. Showing her excitement, she said, "One friend lives in Chuncheon and another lives in Yangpyeong County. I am going to see my friends after a long time."
Upon meeting her friends, they blossomed into conversations filled with memories from their school days. Recalling the time Baek Jin-hee entered university, her friends remarked how amazing it was, saying, "We even searched for you because we heard a celebrity was coming."
Baek Jin-hee confessed that after going through a difficult time during her college years, she had a drinking session with friends in Itaewon, where she became heavily intoxicated.
She shared the situation at the time, stating, "I drank so much back then. Up to 8 soju bottles were piled up. But the intoxicated version of me disappeared, and my friends went into a panic."
She continued, "When I looked the next day, I had lost everything—my earrings, rings, and even my bracelets—and I had been ripped off on my taxi fare, which came out to over 80,000 won. I was so scared of myself at that moment. Since then, I have quit drinking."
