EXID's Hani Returns to TV Dramas After Three Years, Leading Romance With Ha Seok-jin Amid Yang Jae-woong Controversy

EXID singer and actress Hani, whose real name is Ahn Hee-yeon, is returning to the small screen after three years.

Hani has been cast as the female lead in KBS 2TV's new weekend drama "Love Is Coming," which is scheduled to premiere next month.

"Love Is Coming" tells the story of a man and a woman who gather the scattered pieces of a broken family and prepare what is described as the warmest table of life in the world. The series is written by Lee Kyung-hee, the screenwriter behind "The Innocent Man" and "I'm Sorry, I Love You." Hong Seok-gu, who directed "My Only One" and "Beauty and Mr. Romantic," will direct the drama.

Hani had been publicly dating doctor Yang Jae-woong since 2022 and announced that the two would marry in 2024. However, ahead of the wedding, an unexplained patient death occurred at Yang Jae-woong's hospital, leading the couple to postpone the ceremony indefinitely. Hani also halted her activities at the time.

The hospital ultimately closed, and there had been no recent updates on either Hani or Yang Jae-woong. Against that backdrop, Hani is now making her return as an actress. Her partner in the drama will be actor Ha Seok-jin.
