Jun of 'Reborn Rookie' to enlist in army on the 21st
Singer and actor Jun, known for his role in JTBC's 'Reborn Rookie', will begin his military service on the 21st.
Singer and actor Jun will temporarily leave his fans to fulfill his national defense duties.
On the 21st, Jun will enter the Korea Army Training Center to undergo basic military training and begin his service as an active-duty soldier. On the day of enlistment, he is scheduled to enlist privately without any official ceremonies.
Ahead of his enlistment, Jun shared his final farewell to fans through his social media (SNS) today, posting photos of his shaved head along with a salute emoji and pictures taken with his staff.
Previously, he had personally announced his enlistment news through a handwritten letter last month. At that time, Jun expressed his honest feelings, saying, "Before I knew the enlistment date, I thought, 'Is it a big deal? I'm just going,' but once I actually received the date, I found myself having many thoughts after a long time."
He continued, "I worried a lot about how to deliver this news to you first," and promised fans, "As I write each letter, my heart feels a little lighter. I will go and return safely and healthily, being true to myself."
He also expressed his gratitude, saying, "I sincerely hope everyone stays healthy until the day I greet you again, and that you spend happy and meaningful time in your respective places. Thank you for always caring for and supporting me." At the end of the letter, he showed his affection for fans by leaving two Christmas greetings and New Year's wishes.
Having debuted in 2014 as a member of the group U-KISS, Jun later expanded his range into acting and solidified his position as an actor. Starting with the web drama 'A Special Meal in Wonderland,' he has steadily built his filmography by appearing in works such as 'Avengers Social Club', 'D.P.', 'Mask Girl', 'The Impossible Heir', 'When Life Gives You Tangerines', and 'Weak Hero Class 2'.
