Lee Jong-suk Becomes a Big Spender in Florence, Buying Gifts Generously

On the 4th, actor Lee Jong-suk revealed on his YouTube channel that he gifted a necklace worth millions of won to his stylist.

Lee Jong-suk traveled to Florence, Italy, for a photoshoot. After finishing his schedule, he took a stroll through the streets of Florence. While heading out to get gelato, he discovered a baby clothing store and began picking out gifts while thinking of his nieces, nephews, and the children of his acquaintances.

"Many babies have been born around me lately. I want to buy something for the child in this house and something for the child in that house," he said. After purchasing clothes indiscriminately, he earned the nickname 'Florence Big Spender' from the production crew.

Later, he revisited an accessory shop that a staff member had shown interest in the previous day. He examined a necklace, saying, "Hye-young Noona was looking closely at necklaces in this shop."

At first, he misread the price and thought it was relatively inexpensive, but the actual price was much higher than expected. He looked bewildered after reconfirming the price tag of 1380 euros (approximately 2.45 million won). The price had risen significantly due to the increase in gold prices, and it was further expensive because it was set with diamonds and emeralds.

After contemplating for a moment, he readily decided to make the purchase, but he hit an unexpected obstacle. The credit card company suspected overseas fraudulent use and did not approve the payment.

He wore a look of frustration, but then, as if determined, he called the credit card company directly, returned to the store, and finally succeeded in making the payment. He left the shop with a satisfied expression, saying, "Buying gifts isn't easy."

During a meal, Lee Jong-suk handed the gift box to his stylist. Surprised by the unexpected gift, the stylist shared a story about losing a similar design of a necklace she had received from her father in the past, which left Lee Jong-suk feeling pleased.

He also shared his reflections on acting as an actor. "These days, I think I want to try things I haven't done before before I get any older. I want to try historical dramas, too. I really want to play the role of a king at least once," he said, expressing a particular desire to play a king.
