Actor Jung Jun-won is drawing renewed attention for his sly method acting skills, even as he faces ongoing controversy regarding his attitude on variety shows. Following the release of a short acting clip, fans have engaged in a heated debate, with many noting, “The difference between his acting and his variety show persona is massive.”

On the 6th, a video titled “POV: Actors' Day 1 Method Acting” was released on the official SNS of Daily Fashion News. The video features Jung, who is currently starring in the MBC Friday-Saturday drama “Married Woman Killer,” alongside Gong Hyo-jin and Lee Sang-yi, as they each act out various scenarios.

In the video, Jung is presented with the premise, “When my wife is a killer,” to which he responds, “My wife is a killer?” He then fully immerses himself in the scene, using exaggerated facial expressions and gestures, including screaming in shock as if he cannot believe the news.

Despite the brief duration, the actor's intense concentration and comedic timing were on full display. The production team praised the performance, stating, “Personally, I was so moved by the scene where Jung Jun-won is startled that I even shed tears.”

However, the video garnered heightened interest because it arrived amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding Jung's attitude on “Hangout with Yoo.”

Jung previously appeared on the MBC variety show “Hangout with Yoo” on the 1st alongside Gong Hyo-jin.
