Yoon Kyung-ho fulfills silence vow on 'Cultwo Show'

Actor Yoon Kyung-ho, who made a viewership rating promise regarding the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated', greeted viewers through a vow of silence on SBS Power FM's 'Cultwo Show' as promised.

On the 13th, cast members of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated'—Yoon Kyung-ho, Joo Sang-wook, and Son Naeun—appeared on 'Cultwo Show'.

Joo Sang-wook and Naeun introduced their characters and roles in 'Agent Kim Reactivated'. However, because Yoon was observing a vow of silence, he could not say a single word. Even when asked, "Can't you at least make sounds even if you can't speak?", he shook his head and replied through lip movements, "I cannot."

He then delivered his greetings using a whiteboard. On the board, he wrote, "I only have 13 chances to write. It is so wonderful to meet you, and thank you."

He further conveyed, "It is an honor to appear on 'Cultwo Show'. I am deeply sorry that I cannot speak with you. If there is another opportunity later, I will be sure to tell the stories I couldn't finish then. Thank you for loving 'Agent Kim Reactivated'."

The DJs informed listeners that Yoon had been observing the vow of silence since 7:00 AM that morning, noting, "You will know he has arrived only if you watch the visual radio." Consequently, they prepared OX boards and a whiteboard so that Yoon could express himself minimally. He brought laughter to the studio by wearing a T-shirt that read, "I am practicing silence."

At the 'Agent Kim Reactivated' production presentation held on the 25th of last month, Yoon pledged that if the viewership rating exceeded 13%, he would observe a vow of silence. Citing the fact that So Ji-sub was appearing in an SBS drama for the first time in 13 years, he suggested, "If we achieve a 13% viewership rating, wouldn't it be great to have a Season 2 of 'Agent Kim Reactivated'?" The vow was finalized following a suggestion from Joo.

However, as 'Agent Kim Reactivated' achieved a viewership rating of 15.7% in just 2 episodes, Yoon's vow became a reality. Subsequently, on the 13th, Yoon began his silent practice at 7:00 AM, declaring, "According to my conscience, I swear to faithfully practice in every moment, including private spaces such as showers or bathrooms where cameras cannot be present, without a single lie."

Following the live radio broadcast, Yoon will even conduct a fan signing event while maintaining his vow of silence.
