Yu Hye-jeong Thanks Ex-Husband Seo Yong-bin 19 Years After Divorce: "A Wonderful Father"

Actor Yu Hye-jeong has expressed sincere gratitude to her former husband, Seo Yong-bin, for continuing to maintain a warm relationship with their daughter, Seo Gyu-won.

On June 14, on the channel "Bungeoppangine Hyejeong Gyuwon," Yu spoke about a recent meeting between Seo Gyu-won and Seo Yong-bin. Sharing an update on the father and daughter, she said, "Gyu-won often has time to meet her father and go on dates with him, and today she went to watch baseball with her dad."

Yu then praised her daughter while reflecting on the qualities she sees in her. "There are so many good things about you, but I do not think many of them come from your mom. Then who could it be? I think you inherited your father's good genes and have become the wonderful 26-year-old lady you are now. I am always grateful to your father, and as your mother, I will stay by your side as a fun, friend-like presence," she said.

Addressing Seo Yong-bin, Yu added, "I am truly always grateful to Gyu-won's father. I am so thankful that he gave me such a wonderful daughter, and I am also so thankful that he is being a wonderful father to Gyu-won." Yu Hye-jeong and Seo Yong-bin separated in 2007, when Seo Gyu-won was seven years old. Afterward, Yu raised her daughter on her own while running a clothing store for 15 years.

Seo Gyu-won visited Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul to meet Seo Yong-bin, who is currently working as a power enhancement coordinator for the LG Twins. After eating with her father in the staff cafeteria and looking around the dugout, Seo Gyu-won shared her feelings, saying, "I played here a lot when I was young, so it feels new."

She explained that she had not visited the ballpark during that time because she worried it might inconvenience her father while he was working. Saying, "It was nice to see my dad in his main-job moment," she showed a thoughtful side as a daughter, making Seo Yong-bin proud.
