Ji Seung-hyun will make his first appearance as a new featured chef on the KBS2 entertainment program 'Fun-Staurant' on the 11th, where he will open up his rural life in Miryang. The actor, who left a strong impression in the 2023 KBS historical drama 'Goryeo-Khitan War' as the national salvation hero General Yang Gyu, is set to show an unexpectedly simple everyday routine.

Ji Seung-hyun's pre-recorded segment begins in a quiet countryside village with a calm, old-fashioned atmosphere. Although he has built an image as an 'intellectual city man,' including through his work as an MC on KBS's 'History Special,' the footage reveals a completely different side of him, closer to someone living in nature, as he starts the morning by gulping down painted maple sap.

He said, 'I have achieved my dream of five days in the city and two in the countryside.' The phrase refers to a lifestyle in which a person works in the city for five days and spends two days healing in a rural area. Ji explained that he works as an actor in the city for five days, then spends two days in Miryang enjoying a slower and more relaxed pace of life.

For breakfast, he used ingredients harvested from his vegetable garden and cooked them over a wood fire with an iron cauldron. As he quickly prepared dishes on the spot according to the ingredients available, everyone watching was impressed, saying, 'He is the real deal.'

The broadcast also reveals Ji Seung-hyun's unexpected charm. At times he appears deeply absorbed in writing, murmuring romantic lines that sound almost like poetry, while at other moments he draws laughter with sudden old-man jokes.
