'Miss Baek' Child Actor Kim Si-a Signs With Byeon Woo-seok's Agency and Enters Hanyang University Early

Actor Kim Si-a, known for her breakout child role in the film 'Miss Baek,' has signed an exclusive contract with Baro Entertainment, making her agency colleagues with actors including Byeon Woo-seok.

Baro Entertainment announced on June 18 that it had entered into an exclusive agreement with Kim Si-a. The company said it was sincerely pleased to begin a partnership with an actor who had proven her distinctive acting ability from her debut, when she broke through competition of 600 to 1.

The agency added that Kim, despite her young age, has shown deep inner emotional acting and the power to command a scene. Baro Entertainment said it would do its utmost as a dependable partner and provide full support so that she can continue to unfold her unlimited talent.

Born in 2008, Kim Si-a made her screen debut in 2018 through the film 'Miss Baek' after winning the role amid intense 600-to-1 competition. Even at a young age, she left a strong impression with acting that was both delicate and explosive, and went on to win the Child Actor Award at the 29th Golden Cinematography Awards and Best Actress at the 3rd Sharm El Sheikh Asian Film Festival.

At the time, Kim drew attention for delivering a performance that was not overshadowed by Han Ji-min, the acclaimed actor who played the title role in 'Miss Baek.' Her acting skill, measured against such a prominent co-star, became one of the points that made her debut widely discussed.

Kim later appeared in the film 'The House of Us' as well as Netflix titles including 'Kill Boksoon,' 'Kingdom: Ashin of the North,' seasons 2 and 3 of 'Sweet Home,' and 'Girigo.' She is now preparing for the release of her new film 'Yeo-reum's Camera' later this month.

'Yeo-reum's Camera' follows Yeo-reum, played by Kim Si-a, after she picks up again the camera left behind by her father Ji-hun in order to photograph Yeon-woo, with whom she has fallen in love at first sight. The story depicts the confusion Yeo-reum experiences when she unexpectedly encounters memories from her father's high school years.

Kim Si-a obtained qualification for middle school graduation through a qualification exam, then attended Hanlim Arts High School. This year, she entered Hanyang University one year earlier than peers her age.

Baro Entertainment's roster includes actors Jin Goo, Byeon Woo-seok, Gong Seung-yeon, Park Jeong-woo, Lee You-mi, Lee Hong-nae, Lee Soo-kyung, Park Mun-a, and Lee Chae-min, among others.
