Hong Jin-kyung shared her heartbreak, reporting stress caused by a recent surge in malicious comments. Regarding her pink dress worn at the recent Baeksang Arts Awards, she confessed, "People scolded me, saying I should at least wear earrings since I didn't wear any jewelry."

She continued to express her convictions, saying, "The idea that you must wear heavy accessories just because you are wearing a dress is also a stereotype. If you don't want to wear anything, you don't have to. Why are there so many malicious comments lately? All the comments about my Baeksang dress are malicious. I feel depressed. Why are people swearing like this? I haven't done anything wrong, so being insulted like this makes me very depressed. She also added, "I'll do this for a bit and then retire. I'm going to say everything I want to say now. It's truly different once a person makes up their mind.
