Park Sohyun reveals 22-year dating hiatus: 'Last dated in my early 30s'

Park Sohyun (55) candidly confessed to a gap of over 20 years in her romantic life, revealing that her last relationship was in her early 30s.

On the SBS variety program 'My Little Old Boy' broadcast on the 2nd, Park Sohyun, Yang Jung-a, Ye Ji-won, and Shin Bong Sun—who previously appeared together on the SBS variety show 'Gold Miss Goes On'—gathered to engage in a sincere conversation.

During the episode, Yang Jung-a asked, "When was the last time you had a boyfriend?" to which Ye Ji-won replied, "It has been a long time since I've dated."

When Park Sohyun asked, "Don't love lines form when you do musicals or plays?" Ye Ji-won laughed, saying, "I get calls to grab a drink, but no one asks to meet just the two of us." She added with regret, "There were people I liked in my 30s, but it never led to a relationship."

Park Sohyun then honestly revealed her own dating history.

She stated, "My last relationship was in my early 30s," adding, "Even when I was appearing on 'Gold Miss Goes On,' I had already not been dating for several years."

She continued, "I was 39 when I started 'Gold Miss Goes On.' I appeared on the program with the mindset that I should get married, but I haven't been able to date since then either."

When Yang Jung-a expressed surprise, asking, "Have you not dated even once from the time after 'Gold Miss Goes On' until now?" Park Sohyun surprised everyone by answering, "There was a gap before 'Gold Miss Goes On' as well, and I haven't dated after the show ended either."

Over time, Park Sohyun has shown her efforts to find new connections by participating in public blind dates through various variety programs.

In particular, she drew attention in the 2024 broadcast of 'Can I Love You Now?' by creating a romantic atmosphere while going on blind dates with a CEO 6 years younger, Kang Seok-won, and Taylor Kim Yoon-gu, who is 10 years younger.

At the time, she visited a marriage information agency and shared her honest feelings, saying, "I haven't dated for 20 years," and "It's not that I didn't meet men, but things just didn't work out. I steadily worked toward dreaming of marriage until my 40s, but it didn't happen for various reasons, and as I entered my 50s, I even felt like giving up a few years ago."
