Comedian Yoon Hyung-bin reveals 2 billion won loss and fraud

Comedian Yoon Hyung-bin, who once enjoyed a heyday with monthly earnings exceeding 100 million won, has opened up about the painful failures hidden behind his glamorous success.

He drew attention by confessing his real-world hardships, including suffering a loss of approximately 2 billion won while attempting to expand his business, as well as being defrauded during a trusted investment process.

In a preview for the MBN variety program 'Dongchimi' aired on the 2nd, Yoon, along with Shim Hyun-seop, Lee Tae-sung, Kim Jang-hoon, and Gong Hyeong-jin, appeared to share their respective experiences regarding 'money and business.'

Recalling his peak years, Yoon said, "I realized that it's possible to bring in more than 100 million won in a single month." He was reminiscing about the period when he earned high profits through broadcasts, performances, and various other activities.

However, the moments of success did not last long. Yoon went on to reveal a shocking experience of failure encountered during his business ventures.

He confessed, "I went to collect the money that was promised for investment, but the building was completely empty, and there were only piles of unpaid bills." It was a candid admission of the financial damage he suffered when a trusted investment turned out differently than expected.

Even celebrities who earn large sums are no exception when faced with business and investment risks. His story serves as a reminder that having capital does not guarantee success; rather, one needs the ability to read the market, the insight to judge people, and thorough verification.

In response, economic education expert Seong Seon-hwa advised, "I wish you had consulted with Jeong Gyeong-mi first," suggesting more communication with family and more cautious decision-making.

However, when asked, "Does Jeong Gyeong-mi know about this?", he drew laughter by replying, "I don't know. Perhaps she saw it in an article. I never told her."

Having married fellow comedian Jeong Gyeong-mi in 2013, Yoon is constantly taking on new challenges, expanding his career from broadcaster to performance producer and entrepreneur.
