Roh Yoon-seo shines as 'golden maknae' in variety debut

Actress Roh Yoon-seo has made a powerful impression in her first outing as a fixed cast member for a variety show. Moving beyond her fresh, youthful image, she has established herself as a new source of energy for 'Unnie's Direct from the Farm 3' through her unexpectedly efficient work ethic and natural sociability.

In the first episode of tvN's 'Unnie's Direct from the Farm Season 3', which aired on the 30th, Roh was shown traveling to Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do, with Yum Jung Ah, Kim Sun-young, and Kang You-seok to begin their life at the source.

Joining the cast for this new season, Roh captured attention from her very first appearance with her unadorned charm. Rather than putting on a forced persona for the camera, her honest attitude—showing curiosity toward the unfamiliar environment and diving in actively—received a positive response from viewers.

In particular, during the first mission of harvesting sea squirts, she showed a more proactive side than anyone else, defying expectations of being just the 'pretty youngest member.'

After heading out to sea on a boat, Roh could not hide her surprise at seeing a 5m-long sea squirt tower for the first time, but she quickly adapted to the scene by focusing on the task at hand.

There were moments of bewilderment due to the unfamiliar environment and a heavier workload than expected, but she did not give up, silently lending a hand and experiencing the grueling reality of life at the source firsthand.

Roh's true value was also revealed during the process of preparing the sea squirts. Even amidst the difficult work, she did not lose her bright energy and quickly melted into the team by naturally maintaining conversations between Yum Jung Ah, Kim Sun-young, and Kang You-seok.

Her delicate sense, characteristic of an art major, especially shone during the food preparation process. While preparing a meal using the ingredients harvested directly, she added meticulous detail to the plating, drawing admiration from the other members.

Most impressive was her comfort level, which made it hard to believe this was her first fixed variety show. Instead of the tension or awkwardness often seen in actors with little variety experience, Roh softened the program's atmosphere with her natural charm in enjoying the situation and mingling with others.

Having previously shown a calm and mysterious image in her works, Roh revealed a different side of herself through 'Unnie's Direct from the Farm 3.' In doing so, she announced the birth of a 'golden maknae' by simultaneously proving both her delicate sensibilities as an actress and her friendly charm as an entertainer.

Roh is also continuing her active career as an actress, having played the role of Saeng-gang, a court lady harboring secrets, in the Netflix series 'The East Palace.'
