Sayuri's son Zen shows rapid growth as he learns five languages

Broadcaster Fujita Sayuri has captured the attention of fans by sharing updates on the rapid growth of her son, Zen.

On the 6th, Sayuri posted photos of Zen's daily life on her SNS. In the images, Zen is seen enjoying time under the sun wearing a sleeveless top and shorts. Wearing a red hat and holding a snack, his bright smile toward the camera conveys a much more mature aura compared to his appearance when he first appeared on "The Return of Superman" as a young child.

His noticeable growth is particularly striking when compared to the youthful image he presented in past broadcasts. Sayuri has been continuously sharing the special bond between mother and son, including recent photos from their trip to Hawaii.

Zen has consistently been a topic of interest, not only for his physical growth but also for his extraordinary language education.

Through various broadcasts, Sayuri has revealed that in addition to his foundation in Korean and Japanese, Zen is being exposed to English, Chinese, and Spanish. As a child growing up in a multicultural environment, Sayuri's educational philosophy is to expand his linguistic abilities to ensure he has the opportunity to live anywhere in the world.

She previously stated, "If you know the language, can't you live anywhere? Since he can choose the country he wants to live in, I want to create that opportunity for him." She explained that she places more importance on creating an environment where her child can communicate across various cultures rather than focusing on simple rote early childhood education.

Her firm stance regarding English education also drew significant attention.

Sayuri previously revealed that she requested Zen's English kindergarten not to assign him homework, believing that excessive assignments at a young age could diminish a child's interest. When controversy arose regarding those remarks, she apologized, stating that her expression had caused a misunderstanding.

Sayuri admitted her shortcomings, explaining that while she had received permission from the kindergarten, she realized her request could have appeared "shameless" and failed to sufficiently consider the educational environment for the other children.

Sayuri gave birth to Zen in 2020 in Japan through in vitro fertilization using sperm donation. Since then, she has received widespread support by sharing the journey of mother and son through SNS, YouTube, and programs such as KBS2's "The Return of Superman."
