SHINHWA's Lee Min-woo on Honeymoon While Mother Struggles with Solo Parenting
Lee Min-woo and Lee A-mi head to Taiwan for their honeymoon, leaving his mother to care for two children alone.
On the 13th, during KBS 2TV's 'Mr. House Husband,' the mother of singer Lee Min-woo, a member of the group SHINHWA, expressed her frustration over solo parenting her grandchildren. Lee Min-woo and Lee A-mi departed for their honeymoon to Penghu, Taiwan, just two months after their marriage, leaving Lee Min-woo's mother to care for their two children.
Lee Min-woo had a video call with his mother during the trip. His mother, looking exhausted from looking after two grandchildren alone, sighed and asked, "How was your first night? Have you been well? Because we suddenly had Yang Yang (the second child), do you know how hard it is for me right now?"
Lee A-mi appeared momentarily flustered before expressing her regret regarding a potential third child, saying, "Yesterday, Oppa ate a lot of oysters but passed out immediately, so he didn't even make up for the cost of the oysters."
The couple then went to see a fortune teller. Lee Min-woo asked, "I don't know when it will be, but is there a son in my fortune?" The fortune teller replied, "One could arrive in the second half of next year."
Lee Min-woo held his wedding this past March with Lee A-mi, a third-generation Korean living in Japan who is 11 years his junior. His wife is a single mother raising a daughter from her previous marriage. After registering their marriage last year, the couple welcomed a daughter in December.
