Yoon Hyung-bin Reveals 2 Billion Won Loss in Meal Kit Business: "Should Have Done It Online"
Comedian Yoon Hyung-bin shares his massive business failure and 2 billion won loss on SBS Plus's 'Sinppal Talk Show Gui Myohan Iyagi 2'.
On the 22nd, during the SBS Plus program 'Sinppal Talk Show Gui Myohan Iyagi 2', comedian Yoon Hyung-bin shared the story of how his business failed spectacularly.

From the start, Yoon Hyung-bin showed enthusiasm, saying, "I will only take the good energy with me." When MC Lee Guk-joo revealed the topic and asked, "Have you ever had an experience of 'total failure' in your life?", Yoon Hyung-bin replied, "I think the time when COVID-19 started was my biggest 'total failure'."
He confessed, "Performance venues took a direct hit during COVID-19. We were already losing tens of millions of won at the venues. Thinking that things couldn't continue this way, I decided to pivot with the COVID-19 trend and started a meal kit business with the hope of bouncing back, but that didn't work out either."
Lee Guk-joo expressed doubt, saying, "Meal kits must have done really well during COVID-19," to which Yoon Hyung-bin sighed and explained, "I opened an offline meal kit store. People just didn't come." When Eom Eun-hyang pointed out his misjudgment, saying, "Delivery was doing well back then," Yoon Hyung-bin jokingly reacted, "You should have told me that back then!"
When Lee Guk-joo asked, "Didn't your wife Jeong Gyeong-mi stop you?", Yoon Hyung-bin revealed that he had carried out a large-scale business secretly from Jeong Gyeong-mi, resulting in massive losses, saying, "I didn't tell her. If I had, wouldn't she have told me not to do it? I think I lost about 2 billion won."
He then shared a dream that served as a pillar of support, allowing him not to lose hope: "My mother told me that after she gave birth to me, she had a dream where my great-grandmother was holding me. She said she gave me a spoon and told me not to go hungry and to eat well."
He expressed a bit of lingering regret, saying, "Even now, my regret is wondering why she gave me a spoon specifically. If she had given me a rice paddle, a ladle, or a pot, I would have lived a more abundant and comfortable life."
