Nam Joo Hyuk and Noh Yoon-seo to Star in Netflix's New Ghost Fantasy Period Drama Donggung
Netflix announces 'Donggung', a new fantasy sageuk starring Nam Joo Hyuk and Noh Yoon-seo, following a journey to uncover a royal curse.
Netflix will release its new series 'Donggung' on July 17. 'Donggung' is a fantasy period drama that depicts the process of Gu Cheon (Nam Joo Hyuk), who freely moves between the worlds of ghosts, and court lady Saeng-gang (Noh Yoon-seo) uncovering a hidden curse in the Donggung palace at the request of the King (Cho Seung-woo).

Gu Cheon and Saeng-gang are expected to deliver thrilling excitement as they unfold a bizarre narrative through their duo play. Director Choi Jung-kyu of 'The Devil Judge' and writers Kwon So-ra and Seo Jae-won of 'The Guest' are collaborating on this project.
In the released poster, Gu Cheon is depicted in a distressing situation with peach branches on his back, surrounded by an ominous red aura. The copy 'Beyond the boundaries of reality into the world of ghosts' piques interest in the fantasy world of spirits that this work will showcase.
Interest is already growing regarding what kind of chemistry trusted actor Nam Joo Hyuk will show with the rapidly rising Noh Yoon-seo. Expectations are also high for Cho Seung-woo's role in anchoring the series. It consists of 8 episodes in total.
