Kang Ye-won Breaks Down in Tears After Learning the Truth Behind Her Father's Passing

On the 14th, during the SBS entertainment program 'My Little Old Boy', actress Kang Ye-won shed tears after hearing the story of her late father's accident for the first time.

Kang Ye-won visited her father's office, which still bore his personal touch, and sat at the desk he used to occupy. A family photo was placed on the desk. Upon seeing her father's handwriting in a notebook, she remained silent for a while before ultimately breaking into tears.

She met with employees who had worked with her father for a long time. One employee shared details about the accident that Kang Ye-won was unaware of, stating, "A delivery truck heavily loaded with cargo rammed into the car we were in. My brother (Kang Ye-won's father) suffered a severe back injury, and we visited the hospital together many times."

Kang Ye-won expressed her regret, saying, "My father did not tell me that he had been in a car accident. I only found out much later that it was a major accident, enough to have the car scrapped."

The employee shared the heartbreaking reality, noting, "He forbade us from saying anything because he didn't want the family to worry. In truth, he was in a situation where he needed surgery immediately." Despite this, Kang Ye-won's father postponed treatment due to managing the company. The employee added, "If he had undergone surgery and been hospitalized, there would have been no one to run the company. All the employees were very worried," highlighting her father's extraordinary sense of responsibility.

Kang Ye-won has previously confessed that her father passed away last April and that she has had to take on unexpected debts following his death.
