Singer Jang Yoon-jung opened up about her diet routine on YouTube, revealing what she eats when she is preparing for the stage. Speaking candidly, she said she once believed she would go through life without ever worrying about gaining weight, but admitted that managing her body has become more difficult as she has grown older.

Jang said she had started dieting ahead of an upcoming concert. “I have a concert this weekend. During weeks when I have a concert, I tend to manage myself more tightly, so I wanted to introduce my routine,” she explained as she laid out the regimen she follows before performances.

The singer is known to be 168 centimeters tall and weigh 48 kilograms. Even so, she made clear that extreme dieting is not an option for her. “I cannot starve myself. At this age, managing my body by going hungry is too hard,” she said, before showing items such as cleanse drinks and coffee and then introducing the foods included in her diet.

Jang explained that she has been focusing on low-sugar meals. “I am eating low-sugar meals, so I eat a lot of protein and good fats,” she said. She added that she stir-fries shrimp, baby broccoli, and cilantro together. After finishing the stir-fried dish and tasting it, she summed up the reality of aging with the remark, “The older you get, the more it becomes a war with weight.”

She also reflected on how her own body has changed over time. “I thought I would never gain weight in my life either. But as you get older, you get puffy,” she said, acknowledging that the passage of time cannot be avoided. Jang also admitted that exercise is not currently part of her routine, saying, “I do not work out. I should, but I do not think I am diligent enough to go that far.”

Jang Yoon-jung married broadcaster Do Kyung-wan, a former announcer, in 2013. The couple have one daughter and one son.
