YouTuber and broadcaster Kwak Tube has revealed his recent activities in Mexico, where he traveled to cheer for the South Korean national team participating in the 2026 North America World Cup. He stated that while traveling long distances to watch the Korean national team's matches, he plans to return to Korea briefly for broadcasting schedules and his son's 100th-day celebration before heading back to Mexico.

KwakTube visits Mexico amidst World Cup fever, finds shelves stocked with Korean ramen

On the 19th, on his YouTube channel 'Kwak Tube', he visited Guadalajara, Mexico, and explained the local situation, saying, "As I have mentioned many times before, if you were to rank Mexico as a travel destination, it is top-tier. The food is delicious, the prices are low, and the people are great. However, unlike before, it feels like prices have risen significantly lately. Now it seems similar to the level in Korea."

He moved near the location of the Korean national football team's private training ground and said, "The Korean players are training right now. Since they have a match against Mexico coming up, it seems they are conducting it even more strictly in private."

He then went on a search for famous taco restaurants. Expressing his affection, he said, "Tacos are a food I love so much that I could keep wandering around just eating them. Since the taste varies by region, it feels like a Kimbap tour." He tasted various kinds and personally ranked them, noting that the price was around 2000~3500 won per taco.

To check the cost of living, he visited a large mart and was surprised to see Korean food products such as Buldak Bokkeum-myeon, Jin Ramen, Paldo Bibimmyeon, and Bong Bong displayed on the shelves. He expressed his surprise, saying, "I thought the cost of living in Mexico was very low, but snacks or imported foods seem to be similar to or even more expensive than in Korea."

His accommodation, located in an affluent area of Guadalajara, was equipped with a swimming pool and a tennis court, and he expressed satisfaction, saying, "Even though it is the World Cup season, the price is better than I thought."

Afterward, he visited the Fan Festa venue where World Cup fans gather. Wearing a Korean player's uniform, he enjoyed the scene, saying, "I'm a little nervous because there isn't much time left until the Korean match."

He suddenly shared, "I have one sad announcement. I won't be able to watch the Mexico match on-site. I have fixed broadcasting schedules, and since it is also my son's 100th day, I am going to Korea for a short while. I booked a round-trip flight, so I will return to Korea immediately without seeing the Mexico match. After a brief visit to Korea, I will move to Monterrey to watch the South Africa match."

He promised, "I will be cheering for the Mexico match from Korea. I will return with videos of the South Africa match later."

Kwak Tube married a civil servant who is five years younger last October and welcomed a son this past March. He recently appeared on KBS 2TV 'The Return of Superman' with his son.
