Lee Ho-sun Warns Ham So-won After She Criticizes Her Ex-Husband: "Her Daughter Is Managing Her Mother's Mood"
On SBS Plus program "Lee Ho-sun's Cider," counselor Lee Ho-sun advised actress Ham So-won over co-parenting concerns involving ex-husband Jin Hua and daughter Hye-jeong.
On the June 13 broadcast of SBS Plus program "Lee Ho-sun's Cider," counselor Lee Ho-sun offered pointed advice to actress Ham So-won after Ham spoke negatively about her ex-husband Jin Hua.

Ham asked whether it would be right, for the sake of her child, to cut off meetings with the husband she had divorced. She explained that her daughter Hye-jeong had been classified as obese during a school health checkup, and said the child had gained about 9 to 10 kilograms in roughly a year since spending time with Jin Hua. Ham then voiced her dissatisfaction with Jin Hua, saying her ex-husband did not match her at all, from lifestyle habits to personality, and that he was irresponsible even about promises.
Listening seriously to Ham's concerns, counselor-director Lee Ho-sun began carefully, saying there were several points that worried her.
Lee pointed out, "You have continued to criticize your husband throughout the broadcast." She referred to an anecdote in which Ham had poured out her frustrations to her daughter, only for Hye-jeong to answer, "Ignore it." Lee said this showed the child had already been reading her mother's emotions and trying to keep her comfortable for a long time. She added that Ham had done something harmful to her child.
Lee went on to advise that passing complaints about a husband on to a child and creating a triangular relationship is one of the most obvious things parents should not do. She said that even if Ham was dissatisfied at times, her daughter still needed time to breathe with her father. If Ham prevented the child from seeing her father, Lee warned, the child might become physically slimmer, but she would be deprived of receiving love.
Lee said that, in the end, the problem was not the ex-husband or the child's weight, but the absence of agreed parenting standards between the two adults. She advised that both sides should set at least the minimum rules needed for the child.
Ham So-won married Jin Hua, a Chinese man 18 years her junior, in 2018 and had daughter Hye-jeong with him, but the couple divorced in 2022.
