Han Hyo-joo addresses plastic surgery rumors: "Sometimes I have five eyelids"

Interest in actress Han Hyo-joo's changing appearance is growing as her eyes appear different in recent photos and videos. However, Han has previously explained on a broadcast that the deepening of her double eyelids was a natural change.

A post titled "Shockingly different eyes? Han Hyo-joo's changed vibe" was recently uploaded to an online community. The post shared photos and videos comparing Han's past and present looks, sparking discussions about the change in her eye shape.

In particular, her recent appearance caught attention as her double eyelid lines have become much clearer and her eyes look larger than before. Some observers suggested her impression looks somewhat different compared to her signature soft and natural eye shape in the past.

Some netizens raised the possibility of double eyelid surgery, reacting with comments like "I didn't even recognize her as Han Hyo-joo." On the other hand, many accepted the change positively, leaving comments such as "She's pretty," "Her vibe has changed," and "The double eyelids suit her well."

However, Han has already directly addressed the changes in her eyelids on a previous broadcast.

While appearing on the YouTube channel VIVO TV and discussing rumors regarding plastic surgery, Han revealed, "I had no double eyelids at all in middle school, but they appeared in high school, and this became my face."

She continued, "As I get older, more eyelids keep appearing," adding, "On some days, I have five eyelids," which drew laughter.

Therefore, it is difficult to conclude whether she underwent plastic surgery based solely on the changes seen in recent photos. Since the shape and depth of double eyelids can vary depending on age, physical condition, swelling, and makeup, it is inappropriate to judge whether medical procedures were performed through simple photo comparisons.

Han debuted in the entertainment industry after winning the grand prize at the 2003 Miss Binggrae contest. Since then, she has expanded her range of genres and characters through films such as "My Boss, My Teacher," "Masquerade," "Cold Eyes," "The Beauty Inside," "The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure," and "Believer 2."

She has also built an extensive filmography through dramas such as "Heaven and Earth," "Brilliant Legacy," "Jewel in the Crown," "W," "Happiness," "Moving," and "Blood Free."

In particular, she left a strong impression in the Disney+ original series "Moving," playing the role of Lee Mi-hyun, a former NIS agent. In the series, Lee Mi-hyun is a character living as an ordinary tonkatsu restaurant owner while raising her son, Kim Bong-seok, who possesses superpowers. Her reunion with her husband Kim Doo-sik (Zo In Sung) served as a major narrative arc in the latter half of Season 1, acting as the emotional axis of the work.

With the production of "Moving" Season 2 confirmed and Han set to return as Lee Mi-hyun, attention is focused not only on her physical changes but also on the acting she will showcase in the upcoming Season 2.
