KAIST professor praises Ku Hye-sun as a student to remember forever

Actress Ku Hye-sun reminisced about her graduate school days, expressing deep gratitude to the mentor who guided her through her studies at KAIST.

On the 27th, Ku posted on her SNS, "There were times when I felt lost when I first entered KAIST," adding, "Thanks to Professor Na Jae-min, who always looked after me during those times, I was able to make the most of my graduate school life. Thinking of those times, I am reading the book again today."

The photos she shared drew attention, featuring a book written by Professor Na Jae-min of the KAIST Graduate School of Science Journalism, which included a handwritten message from the professor.

In the book, Na wrote, "The person who always arrived in the classroom first, the person who consistently wrote five gratitude journals a day. She is a diligent and wonderful student who even received the KAIST Literature Award and the Creative Question Award. I always remember and am thankful."

He further added the phrase "Less smartphone, More thought," conveying his support and encouragement for his former student.

Ku looked back on her graduate school days while re-reading this message, expressing her profound thanks to the mentor who guided her.

Ku entered the Master of Engineering program at the KAIST Graduate School of Science Journalism in 2024 and graduated early after approximately 1 year and 6 months, obtaining her master's degree this February.

During her studies, she stood out academically, being selected as a special awardee in the Creative Talent category among the 19 excellent performance teams for 'QAIST,' a new cultural strategy announced by KAIST.

While active as an actress, she has continued to take on various challenges in fields such as film directing, music, exhibitions, and invention, and continues to expand her horizons through her recognized diligence and creativity in the academic realm.
