The star of the dance video, which has surpassed 20 million views on short-form platforms like YouTube and Instagram, has been identified as Yang Da-yeon, a student at Buwon Girls' Middle School in Incheon. What began as an ordinary video of her dancing freely with friends in a school auditorium became an explosive sensation, and interest surged even further when V personally left a comment.
In the recently released video, Yang delivers an energetic performance alongside her friends. Despite the casual setting, her steady sense of rhythm and confident stage presence stood out. The video spread rapidly through various SNS and short-form platforms, recording over 20 million views.
The biggest talking point was V's comment. He left a brief remark on the Instagram post saying, "HYBE, hurry up." Fans interpreted this as a suggestion that his agency, HYBE, should move quickly to scout her after witnessing her exceptional talent, drawing a heated response from the community.
Yang, who suddenly found herself in the spotlight, shared her thoughts: "It was just a video of me having fun dancing with my friends, and I still can't believe so many people are watching and supporting me. I've now developed a dream to continue learning dance and challenge myself on various stages."
The video was filmed through "School of Dance," a school visitation project conducted by Eva Dance Challenge, a cultural and arts social enterprise. It is a participatory program that visits schools nationwide to create content with students and discover hidden talents.
Yoon Jae-hoon, the CEO of the project, stated, "This project is not an event for views, but to discover the talents hidden within schools. We plan to systematically support five youths who have shown growth potential, including Yang Da-yeon, through professional training, performances, content production, and participation in events."
He emphasized, "Views are merely a result, not the purpose. There are many talented students in schools who are not yet known to the world. We will spare no support so they can grow into the new leaders of K-dance."
Eva Dance Challenge continues various social contribution activities based on culture and arts, including youth arts education, school visitation projects, and operating Eva Crew (Everybody Dance Crew), a professional dance team for people with developmental disabilities that performs shows to improve disability awareness.
Furthermore, the organization has been selected for the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture's arts education support project and the Incheon Foundation for Culture and Arts' Kkumdarak Arts School. In 2025, it is set to be recognized as a certified creative/innovative social enterprise by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, continuing its steady work in the field of cultural and arts education.
