Rapper Truedy and Rhee Dae-eun: "If words coming in aren't kind, words going out won't be either"
Rapper Truedy and former baseball player Rhee Dae-eun reveal their emotional conflicts and parenting struggles in a recent YouTube video.
Rapper Truedy and former baseball player Rhee Dae-eun have brought to light the imbalance of role expectations and emotional needs within their relationship, revealing direct conflicts stemming from accumulated emotional differences in parenting and daily life.

In a recent video titled 'We fought big... A time for forced reconciliation to overcome marital crisis' released on the YouTube channel 'Geumttongine,' the couple shared specific causes of their daily conflicts through a conversation with the production team. The content focused on the differences in communication structures and emotional expression styles between the spouses.
Truedy expressed emotional exhaustion due to the accumulated burden of childcare and housework, stating that her spouse's tone and way of expression lead to emotional wounds. She even shed tears while mentioning that the way emotions are expressed directly impacts relationship satisfaction.
On the other hand, Rhee Dae-eun emphasized that his way of expression is being interpreted excessively negatively in repeated conflict situations, explaining that mutual fatigue within the relationship is accumulating. He noted that although the frequency of daily contact has actually increased since marriage compared to their dating period, he feels that the level of emotional demand has risen.
Both parties commonly acknowledged that the change in the childcare environment after childbirth became a major turning point in their conflict structure. Truedy emphasized the need for collaboration and emotional empathy during the parenting process, expressing expectations for daily partnership, while Rhee Dae-eun raised the issue of balance by mentioning the need for personal time and rest space.
As such, the couple's dialogue showed a pattern of collision between two axes: 'demands for emotional care' and 'distribution of living space and time.' This can be interpreted as a case reflecting the asymmetry of role expectations and the distribution of emotional labor commonly seen in modern family relationships.
Subsequently, the two showed signs of easing tension by engaging in alternative activities such as outdoor dates and joint activities to mitigate the conflict. Attempts were made to adjust emotional distance through games, sports, and mission-based activities, leading to scenes where a phase of reconciliation began to form.
Truedy and Rhee Dae-eun married in 2021 and had their first son last November.
