47-Year-Old Wife Fighting Cancer Says She Can't Divorce Due to Parents' Pressure; Seo Jang Hoon Reacts

On the 22nd, during the KBS joy show 'Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller', a 47-year-old woman, Ms. A, who is currently battling cancer, appeared and expressed her distress, stating that her parents trust her son-in-law more than her and that she is suffering due to her husband's domestic violence.

Ms. A said, "My parents have always discriminated against me. They don't trust me with the inheritance I should receive, so they are trying to give part of it to my husband and then give more. It is frustrating and upsetting."

Her parents reside in an apartment valued at approximately 5 billion won. She lamented, "My parents originally said they would give me 200 million won, but they deposited 80 million won of that into my husband's account. Shouldn't that money be given to me?"

She continued by explaining her husband's occupation, saying, "There was no communication with my husband; he lived his entire married life wearing headphones. He used to be a truck driver and now works as a taxi driver."

She expressed her resentment, adding, "My husband bought a car and a game console with the money he received from my parents. They don't trust me and think I cannot manage money."

The two met through a blind date application in 2016. Ms. A revealed, "I fell for my husband's kind side and started living together."

She claimed her husband lied, stating, "Before marriage, my husband told my father that his monthly salary was 10 million won, so I believed it too. I found out later that it wasn't his salary, but his total revenue, and the actual profit was only about 2.5 million won."

She expressed her sense of injustice, saying, "The day before the wedding, my husband said, 'I only have 500,000 won to give you for living expenses.' I was so bewildered that I called my father crying, but instead, my father tried to forcibly admit me to a psychiatric hospital. I returned home after being diagnosed as normal at the hospital, but I hated my parents so much."

The couple, who married following a premarital pregnancy, currently has a 10-year-old child. Ms. A is currently battling osteosarcoma. She shared the shocking details, saying, "My husband even avoids going to the hospital with me. He even strangled me, leading to a report of domestic violence. I want to divorce, but my mother tells me to endure it until the child turns twenty."

Seo Jang Hoon advised, "At 47, you are not at an age where you must unconditionally follow your parents' words. There is no reason to continue living with a husband you are not on good terms with. You must convey your thoughts to your parents clearly and calmly."

Lee Soo Geun also remarked, "Rather than just complaining, it is important to prepare for how you will live moving forward."
