Announcer Cha Ye-rin Hits #1 Trending Search for 'Foot Odor' Thanks to Kim Dae-ho
MBC announcer Cha Ye-rin reacts to trending as the 'foot odor announcer' following Kim Dae-ho's hilarious confession on SBS's 'Uh, But Like, Seriously!'
MBC announcer Cha Ye-rin shared her thoughts after reaching the number one spot on real-time search engines, thanks to a broadcast comment made by her former colleague Kim Dae-ho.

On the 23rd, Cha Ye-rin posted on her account, "It was my first time hitting the number one search term since eating a lemon on the news, so I was briefly excited, but to be the 'foot odor announcer'... It's all thanks to Senior Dae-ho (?)". She shared a photo from her time hosting MBC's 'Live Today Evening' alongside Kim Dae-ho, who was an announcer at the time.
On the 22nd, Kim Dae-ho confessed a dizzying mistake he made during a past live broadcast on SBS's 'Uh, But Like, Seriously!'. Kim revealed that while he was hosting a segment introducing chicken feet jelly using only a script without a teleprompter, announcer Cha Ye-rin, who was beside him, asked, "It's delicious, right?" to which he ad-libbed, "Announcer Cha Ye-rin, you smell. Foot odor."
While he intended to provide a momentary comedic moment using the chicken feet, it was misinterpreted as implying that announcer Cha smelled of foot odor.
Kim Dae-ho provided laughs by confessing, "At the time, not only Cha Ye-rin but even the announcer who had to give the closing comments were flustered. In the end, it reached a level where the broadcast was ruined, and I even had to write an explanation report."
Immediately after the broadcast, the anecdote became a huge topic online, drawing significant attention to announcer Cha Ye-rin. In response, Cha Ye-rin handled the situation calmly, even thanking Kim Dae-ho.
Former Miss Korea announcer Cha Ye-rin began her career as an announcer at JTBC in 2011, moved to MBC in 2013, and continues to be active to this day.
