“Save me!” Kim Shin-young suffers spicy disaster at Gu Seong Hwan’s housewarming

Comedian Kim Shin-young was invited to actor Gu Seong Hwan's housewarming party, only to be hit by an unexpected “spicy attack” that left everyone in stitches.

In the 658th episode of the MBC variety program 'I Live Alone' broadcast on the 31st, Gu Seong Hwan's special day was revealed as he invited acquaintances to his home to celebrate Chobok, the first day of the hottest summer season. Gu prepared a modest but sincere housewarming meal by personally cooking for actress Lee Sun-min and Kim Shin-young.

However, the harmonious atmosphere was short-lived. Gu's passion for cooking triggered an unexpected “spicy disaster.”

Kim visited Gu's house after finishing her radio schedule. Having climbed five floors in a building without an elevator while carrying heavy luggage, she was exhausted from the start. Catching her breath, she joked, “Oppa, make some money and install an elevator,” drawing laughter from the group.

Gu prepared stir-fried chicken feet for his guests. A problem arose when he added generous amounts of red chili powder and used a torch to add a smoky flavor. As the intense spicy aroma and smoke instantly filled the house, Kim and Lee began coughing incessantly in the living room.

After noting, “Oppa, this is spicy,” Kim turned the scene into a sea of laughter by shouting, “Gas! Gas! Save me!” as she fled to the veranda.

Lee also expressed shock at Gu's bold cooking style, asking, “Hyung, why are you boiling poison?” However, Gu remained unfazed, maintaining his own pace as he focused on the chicken feet.

After escaping the spicy air a while later, Kim declared, as if in resignation, “I’m never coming to this house again,” providing another moment of laughter. The comment was a playful reaction to Gu's characteristically rough but sincere hospitality.
