Oh Sang Jin bids farewell to 'Free 19' after 10 years

Broadcaster Oh Sang Jin expressed his bittersweet feelings as he bid farewell to the long-running variety show 'Free 19', which he has been a part of for 10 years.

On the 28th, Oh posted several photos on his SNS with a short message: "10 years. Thank you for everything!"

The released photos capture the production team and cast members taking a group photo after completing the final recording of tvN SHOW's 'Free 19'. Additionally, photos showing him standing in the studio alongside Jun Hyun-moo and Han Seok-jun, with whom he has worked for a long time, as well as scenes of him making a toast with a bright smile at the wrap-up party, added to the heartwarming atmosphere.

'Free 19', which first aired in May 2016, is a long-running program that has received steady love by introducing various fields—from political and social issues to travel, food, and lifestyle information—in a ranking format. Over approximately 10 years, it aired a total of 530 episodes and established itself as a unique information-based variety show by covering more than 10,000 different pieces of content.

The final episode aired on this day was themed 'Special! Vacation Gift Festival 19'. It marked the end of the 10-year journey by introducing must-buy travel souvenirs and unique shopping items from various countries around the world.

The production team expressed their gratitude by presenting special gifts to Jun Hyun-moo, Oh Sang Jin, and Han Seok-jun, who led the program together, and Oh also concluded his long journey with the simple words, "10 years. Thank you for everything."

Oh married Kim So Young, whom he met through his colleagues at MBC, in 2017. Following the birth of his first daughter in 2019, he became a father of two after welcoming his second son this past April.
