Sim Gyu-deok reflects on Seo Jang Hoon's rebuke and regrets remarks to Lee A-young

Sim Gyu-deok, a lawyer and participant in MBN's 'Dolsingles 5', has candidly opened up about the controversy surrounding his appearance on JTBC's variety show 'Love War', his income, and his feelings of apology toward his partner, Lee A-young.

On the 29th, a video titled 'Love War Script? Direction? So how much does a lawyer earn?' was released on the YouTube channel 'Sim & Co. | Law Firm Sim'.

In the video, Sim directly addressed the scene that became the biggest talking point during the broadcast.

At the time, after hearing Sim's spending habits and remarks on 'Love War', Seo Jang Hoon pointed him out sharply, asking bluntly, "How much do you earn?" The scene became a major sensation immediately after the broadcast.

Regarding this, Sim laughed and replied, "If you ask how much I earn, I don't earn as much as the price of a car. How could I buy a car every month?"

He recalled the situation, adding, "Compared to celebrities, that's the case, and I couldn't even utter a word there."

However, he explained that his financial situation is somewhat comfortable.

Sim stated, "While expenses go out, I earn enough to tell my girlfriend, 'You can quit if it's hard.'"

Even so, he bowed his head, noting that his income does not justify his remarks.

"Earning a lot of money doesn't make those words forgivable. I shouldn't have spoken so rudely," he admitted.

He continued, "I should have said it more beautifully, like, 'I'll work harder, so you can take a break.' Because my words grew long and I kept repeating the same thing, some parts came out provocatively. I sincerely reflect on that."

Sim also confessed that he "definitely regrets" appearing on the program itself.

First and foremost, he regretted not sufficiently respecting the opinion of his future bride, Lee A-young.

"The person who will become my wife said she was scared, but I decided to appear because I thought it would be fun. Looking back now, it was a selfish decision," he said.

He also shared his honest feelings, saying, "Through the broadcast, my bad side has remained for a lifetime. It served as a lot of 'mirror therapy' and I am actually trying hard to fix it, but I have also lost a lot."

Above all, Sim expressed his apologies to Lee while looking back on the difficult times caused by malicious comments.

"I received more malicious comments, but in that situation, I only thought about my own struggles," he confessed. "In reality, I should have been the one comforting and embracing her, but instead, A-young was the one comforting me. Only then did I realize I needed to come to my senses."

Sim and Lee developed their relationship through MBN's 'Dolsingles 5' and are currently preparing for remarriage. Recently, following their appearance on JTBC's 'Love War', the two have stepped forward several times to clarify controversies regarding their sincerity and the broadcast content.
