Yu Hye-ju faces grief following birth as father passes away

Influencer Yu Hye-ju, formerly known from 'Ulzzang Generation', has cautiously announced her return to daily life after sharing the pain of losing her father suddenly following the birth of her second child.

Having endured a difficult period where the joy of welcoming a new life and the sorrow of losing a family member arrived simultaneously, Yu shared her recent status with fans, stating, “I believe my father would also want to see me living bravely again.”

On the 30th, Yu released a long message through the community tab of her YouTube channel, 'Rejulike'.

“The past week has been a very difficult time, both physically and mentally,” she said, expressing her gratitude. “I was too overwhelmed to reach out sooner, but many people sent their worries, encouragement, and warm hearts through comments after hearing the news.”

She continued, “After giving birth to Jjang-ah (the second child's prenatal nickname), I suddenly received news of my father's passing while in postpartum recovery, so I had to travel to Busan in a hurry. Thanks to the comfort from many people, I have returned after holding my father's funeral, and I am now focusing on recovering both my body and mind at a postpartum care center.”

Facing the immense grief of losing a family member during a period when postpartum recovery is essential, Yu confessed, “I also thought a lot about whether I should take a longer break from the channel.”

However, she decided that rather than remaining stationary, slowly returning to her daily routine would be more empowering for her.

“I felt that instead of staying stopped, slowly returning to daily life would be more helpful to me,” Yu said. “Above all, I believe my father would want to see me living bravely and energetically again, so I am planning to cautiously start uploading videos again starting today.”

It was a time of enduring complex emotions as both a mother welcoming a new family member and a daughter saying goodbye to a parent, but she ultimately showed her determination to move forward by using the love left by her family as strength.

Finally, Yu stated, “For the time being, I will focus solely on recovering both my body and mind. I sincerely thank everyone who worried about me and sent their warm hearts.”

She also revealed the name of her second child. She added, “I named Jjang-ah 'Yoo Gun'. Yoo Gun is also growing up well. I will share more news soon.”
