Lee Ji Hyun, a former member of the group Jewelry, has embarked on a new chapter of her life as a beautician and hair salon owner, sharing her candid reflections as a mother raising two children alone. Despite her hectic schedule, she shared precious moments spent with her children, drawing widespread empathy with her heartfelt confession: "It is never a life for myself."
On the 26th, Lee posted several photos on her SNS, writing, "I went out to eat at a restaurant the kids like for the first time in a long while. I don't even know how long it's been. Has it been three months?"
In the photos, Lee is seen enjoying a cozy meal of steak and pasta with her daughter, Seo-yoon. From affectionately stroking her daughter's hair during the meal to taking bright selfies together, the images capture the warm, close relationship between the mother and daughter.
After dining, they visited a cosmetics store together. "I went to Olive Young with Seo-yoon," Lee remarked, adding, "She tells me about all the new products; it feels like I'm learning everything from her now." She expressed deep affection and pride for her daughter, who has become her reliable advisor.
After obtaining her beautician license, Lee took on a new challenge by opening a hair salon under her own name. Balancing her broadcasting career with running the salon, she has led an even busier life than before, candidly sharing the realistic struggles of being a working mother.
"I'm sorry, kids, because I'm so busy..." she wrote, adding, "It's never a life for myself. I wonder if they will understand when they grow up?" It was a sincere confession from a mother running tirelessly for the future of her children rather than her own dreams.
After experiencing two marriages and divorces, Lee is currently raising her daughter and son alone. Having continued her career in broadcasting while overcoming various hardships, she has recently started her second act as a beautician.
