4Minute Marks 17th Debut Anniversary as HyunA, Now Married to Yong Jun-hyung, Gives No Response
4Minute members marked their 17th debut anniversary with gifts and memories, while HyunA did not respond to the exchange.
Girl group 4Minute marked the 17th anniversary of its debut with a quiet celebration among the members. On the 18th, Kwon So-hyun shared a post and photos on her personal account to commemorate 4Minute's 17th anniversary, writing that it was “my heart for my older sisters on our 17th anniversary.” She prepared number “17” decorations, candles, stickers and a teddy bear cake, then sent the commemorative gifts to her fellow members.
Kwon So-hyun delivered the anniversary gifts to HyunA, Nam Ji-hyun, Jeon Ji-yoon and Heo Ga-yoon, and she also made sure Heo Ga-yoon’s portion was taken care of. Heo Ga-yoon posted a photo of the cake and expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you for even taking care of me while I’m in Bali, Indonesia. Thanks to Kwon Sso, my mom and dad are getting to eat this cake that is so popular these days.”
Nam Ji-hyun, looking back on the group’s active years, uploaded a photo from the time she was promoting as a member of 4Minute. She wrote, “This is a day for looking back. Thankful, sparkling times. We are apart, but we are doing well while remembering and thinking of one another.” Jeon Ji-yoon also joined the exchange with humor, writing, “Congratulations on 4Minute’s 17th anniversary. Sometimes I live forgetting whether I was in 4Minute, but thank you for making me recall that memory today.”
Four of the members communicated with one another around the anniversary, but HyunA did not give any feedback.
4Minute debuted in June 2009 and left behind hit songs including “Crazy,” “What’s Your Name?,” “Volume Up” and “Mirror Mirror.” The group disbanded in 2016 after the four members other than HyunA left Cube Entertainment.
HyunA married singer Yong Jun-hyung in 2024. At the wedding, among the members of Wonder Girls and 4Minute, the groups HyunA had belonged to, only Yeeun attended.
Kwon So-hyun is set to appear in the new drama “Empathy Cells,” which will be released on July 4. Nam Ji-hyun works as a barre and Pilates instructor. Heo Ga-yoon lives in Bali, and Jeon Ji-yoon has changed careers to become a web novel writer.
